The purpose of the Conch Life Scramble (CLS) is to organize golf on the water tournaments in order to raise funds for charities that enhance the lives of Upper Keys charitable organizations in need. Every year the CLS Committee will petition for applications from organizations that wish to be considered recipient of the funds. The CLS Committee will select two charities consistent with the mission of the CLS to be the recipients of the money raised. The Committee’s decision will be based upon: application materials including financial information and need.
Concept
There will be a total of 40 teams. Each team has 4 players and a designated driver. Each team is given a burgee to display on their boat identifying them as a player. Each player gets 2 shots (with the option to buy mulligans – max 5 per player) at a floating target positioned at varying distances from the tee. The golf balls are biodegradable and become fish food after 96 hours.
